The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the approved fare for the 2027 Hajj exercise at ₦7,672,822.00 for each intending pilgrim from the state.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, the announcement follows consultations with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and is in line with the Commission’s directive on the 2027 Hajj arrangements.
Confirming the development, the Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, said the approved amount applies to all intending pilgrims registered through Kano State.
He also disclosed that the passport uploading process will remain open until the new deadline, urging intending pilgrims to submit their valid international passports without waiting until they have completed payment of the outstanding balance.
According to him, early submission of passports is necessary to ensure the timely uploading and processing of pilgrims’ details.
The Director-General further explained that pilgrims who have already paid the initial ₦7,000,000 are expected to pay an additional ₦672,822 to complete the approved fare.
Those making fresh payments, however, are required to pay the full amount of ₦7,672,822.00.
Alhaji Matawalle announced that the deadline for the completion of Hajj fare payment has been extended to 31 August 2026, in accordance with the directive from NAHCON.
He therefore urged all intending pilgrims to take advantage of the extended deadline by completing their payments and submitting their passports on time to avoid any difficulty in securing their Hajj seats.
