The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board was among key stakeholders at a high-level meeting organized by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in collaboration with representatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aimed at reviewing preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Agency z Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, said the Abuja meeting focused on aligning policies, streamlining operational guidelines, and enhancing cooperation between Nigerian authorities and their Saudi counterparts to ensure a smooth and spiritually rewarding Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.

Discussions centered on critical areas such as pilgrims’ welfare, accommodation, transportation, health services, and compliance with Saudi regulations. Stakeholders also highlighted the importance of early planning, coordination, and adherence to international best practices.

Representing the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, the Director of Special Services, Alhaji Umar Yakubu Kabara, reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to supporting NAHCON and Saudi authorities in ensuring that Kano pilgrims are well prepared and adequately supported throughout the pilgrimage.

The engagement reflects the shared commitment of all stakeholders to improve service delivery, strengthen bilateral cooperation, and uphold high standards in organizing Hajj operations for Nigerian pilgrims.
