The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has successfully concluded the sale of 2025 Hajj seats, registering a total of 3,155 intending pilgrims. This was disclosed by the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, while receiving the management team of the Nigeria Immigration Service in his office.

According to Alhaji Danbappa, the Board has finalized all necessary arrangements for the pilgrimage, including the Hajj Induction Course, documentation, and the packing of hand luggage. He further stated that the visa issuance process for registered pilgrims is currently underway.
He commended the Kano State Government, led by Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for its unwavering support in ensuring a seamless Hajj operation.
Speaking during the visit, the newly appointed Controller of Immigration Services at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Aisha Shehu Nda, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Immigration Service and the Pilgrims Board. She noted that their visit aimed to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and enhance coordination, particularly in managing migration-related matters during the Hajj exercise.
Aisha Shehu Nda also expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and, as a token of appreciation, presented an award of excellence to the Director General.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to working closely with the Immigration Command to achieve shared goals. He also described the establishment of the new Immigration Command at MAKIA as a timely and significant development.
