The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has inaugurated the 2026 Hajj Nusuk Masar Team at the Commission’s Makkah office.
In a statement signed by the Technical Assistant (Media) to the Chairman, Ahmed Mu’azu, said the 10 member team will coordinate Nigeria’s engagement with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah digital portal, Nusuk Masar. The platform handles core operations for the 2026 Hajj, including pilgrim registration, visa processing, accommodation, feeding, Mashair services contracts, and flight data management.
Professor Usman said the team’s mandate is central to Nigeria’s preparation for the upcoming Hajj. He said Nigerians expect a process that delivers accurate and timely services. He directed members to maintain clarity and speed in all assigned tasks.
He stated that the experience of every pilgrim will depend on the efficiency of the system under their supervision. He said performance on the platform will be as important as the performance of airlines and service providers.
Commissioner PPMF, Prince Aliyu Abdulrazaq, urged the team to carry out the assignment with transparency and accountability. He said the trust placed in them must reflect in every action taken.
Responding on behalf of the team, Team Lead, Dr. Haruna Danbaba, assured the Commission that members will meet all timelines set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He noted that deadlines leave no room for delay.
This inauguration marks a key milestone in early preparations for the 2026 Hajj. Implementation activities begin immediately.
