The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CG Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, today paid a courtesy call on the Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, at his office at Hajj House, Abuja.
According to the Head of Information and Publications of the Commission, Shafii Sani Mohammed, the visit provided an opportunity for discussions on strengthening the existing collaboration between NAHCON and the NSCDC, particularly in the areas of security, crowd movement management and safety of pilgrims, as well as effective coordination during Hajj operations.
The Commandant General commended the leadership of Ambassador Yusuf and the ongoing reforms being undertaken by NAHCON towards repositioning the Nigerian Hajj industry. He assured the Commission of the NSCDC’s continued support and cooperation.
Responding, the NAHCON Chairman appreciated the Commandant General for the visit and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to sustaining and strengthening the partnership between NAHCON and the NSCDC in the interest of Nigerian pilgrims and the success, safety and smooth conduct of future Hajj operations.
