The management of the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA), led by the Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, has arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the second pre Hajj Visit as part of ongoing preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
In a statement signed by the Head of Information and Communication of the Agency Faruku Umar, said the Chairman, in the company of the Director of Administration, Alhaji Ladan Ibrahim; Director of Finance, Alhaji Nasiru Abubakar; and Director of Operations, Alhaji Abubakar Chika, was sighted at Zul Hulaifah Miqat on their way to Makkah, where they are expected to perform Umrah and undertake critical operational engagements.
The visit is aimed at finalising key logistics for the 2026 Hajj, including accommodation, transportation, and feeding arrangements for intending pilgrims from Sokoto State.
In addition, the delegation will engage in a series of strategic meetings with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and relevant Saudi Arabian Hajj authorities to ensure a smooth, hitch-free, and successful Hajj operation in 2026.
This proactive visit underscores the Agency’s commitment to early planning and effective coordination in line with best international Hajj management practices.
