A delegation from the Zamfara State Government, led by the Managing Director of Gusau International Airport, Alhaji Kabiru Yahaya Gusau, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
The meeting at Hajj House, Abuja, was held to congratulate him on the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
According to the statement by the NAHCON Management, the delegation, sent by Zamfara State Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal, included the Director of Finance and Supply, Alhaji Yahuza Mai Haja; Director of Information and Communication Technology for the Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service, Alhaji Bilyaminu Ahmad Muhammed; and Revenue Officer, Alhaji Anas Muhammed Gusau. Speaking for the delegation, Alhaji Kabiru Yahaya Gusau conveyed Governor Lawal’s appreciation to the NAHCON Chairman. He praised Ambassador Yusuf’s exemplary leadership, strategic direction, and effective coordination, which immensely contributed to the smooth conduct of the 2026 Hajj operations.
The delegation also expressed satisfaction with the services rendered to Nigerian pilgrims and commended the cordial relationship between NAHCON and the State Pilgrims Welfare Boards.
In his response, Ambassador Yusuf thanked the Governor and the Government of Zamfara State for the recognition. He attributed the success of the 2026 Hajj to the collective efforts of NAHCON staff, State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, and other stakeholders, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to improving service delivery.
The visit concluded with prayers for the continued success of NAHCON and sustained collaboration between the Commission and the Zamfara State Government in the administration of Hajj affairs.
