By Mohammed Adamu Wakili The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Alhaji Mai Aliyu Usman Biriri, disclosed this while responding to questions from journalists about this year’s Hajj exercise at his office in Damaturu.
He stated that the commission has organized a series of activities to educate and enlighten the state’s intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj.
According to the Executive Secretary, Yobe State stands out as one of the states working exceptionally hard to achieve sustainable development in improving pilgrims’ welfare.
Alhaji Mai Aliyu Biriri commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his tireless efforts and dedication in supporting the state pilgrims’ commission to successfully discharge its responsibilities.
Addressing intending pilgrims on the preparations made so far, the chairman called on them to be good ambassadors of the state and the country at large while in the holy land of Saudi Arabia by being law-abiding.
The Executive Secretary also noted that visas for the 1,337 Yobe State intending pilgrims have been issued by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
Alhaji Mai Aliyu Usman Biriri therefore reminded the intending pilgrims to ensure they receive the mandatory vaccines.
