Bauchi State has successfully wrapped up its 2026 Hajj operations following the arrival of the final batch of pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The last return flight, operated by Aquiline International Umza, carrying 250 pilgrims, landed at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, at approximately 6:18 p.m. on Monday.
The aircraft, with registration number UY3562, was the fifth and final flight used to transport Bauchi pilgrims back to Nigeria after the annual pilgrimage.
Addressing journalists at the airport, the Amirul Hajj and Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman, thanked Allah for granting the pilgrims a successful Hajj and a safe journey back home.
He described the exercise as one of the most successful in recent years and praised Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the support provided to the state delegation and pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage period.
The Emir noted that the governor’s commitment to the welfare of pilgrims played a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of activities both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman also commended members of the Hajj delegation, Islamic scholars, officials of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, and media practitioners for their contributions toward the successful conduct of the exercise.
Also speaking, the Amirul Hajj of Ganjuwa Local Government Area, Alhaji Nuruddeen Salihu, expressed appreciation to Allah for enabling pilgrims to complete all Hajj rites peacefully and without major difficulties.
He acknowledged the efforts of officials, volunteers, and other stakeholders whose dedication contributed to the overall success of the pilgrimage.
On his part, the Information Officer of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Muhammad Nasir Bala, praised the pilgrims for maintaining discipline and cooperating with authorities throughout their stay in the Holy Land.
He observed that managing Hajj operations requires enormous commitment and coordination, adding that despite the challenges involved, the 2026 pilgrimage was concluded successfully through the grace of Allah.
