Second Flight of Kano Pilgrims Departs to Jeddah with 541 Pilgrims

The second batch of Kano State pilgrims has departed from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport to King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, with a total of 541 pilgrims on board.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, said During the farewell ceremony, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, addressed the departing pilgrims and urged them to be exemplary ambassadors of Kano State throughout their stay in the Holy Land.

 

He reminded them to uphold the good name of Kano in all their actions and interactions. He also encouraged them to focus on their acts of worship (Ibadah) upon arrival in Madinah, emphasizing the sanctity of the city as the resting place of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). He advised them to avoid unnecessary noise or disputes and to treat one another with respect, keeping in mind the spiritual significance of their journey.

 

Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u, prayed to Almighty Allah for their protection and safe return in good health to reunite with their families and the larger Muslim Ummah.

 

The farewell event served as an important platform to reinforce compliance with Hajj guidelines and offer final instructions to the pilgrims. “As we bid farewell to our beloved pilgrims on this sacred journey to Saudi Arabia, I urge each one of you to be respectful of the laws governing your destination,” he stated.

 

The second flight includes pilgrims from six Local Government Areas as follows:

 

1. Warawa – 17 pilgrims (11 males, 6 females)

 

2. Rano – 227 pilgrims (195 males, 32 females)

 

3. Kibiya – 50 pilgrims (42 males, 8 females)

 

4. Bunkure – 60 pilgrims (45 males, 15 females)

 

5. Dawakin Kudu – 36 pilgrims (23 males, 13 females)

 

6. Kura – 106 pilgrims (69 males, 37 females)

 

The airlift was carried out by Max Air, with the flight departing at approximately 12:26 p.m. from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.
