The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has extended warm Eid-el-Fitri greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a message issued by the Head of Information and Communications, Faruku Umar, on behalf of the Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar JJ, as well as the Board, Management, and staff, the Agency urged the Muslim Ummah to sustain the virtues of patience, sacrifice, and devotion imbibed during Ramadan.
The statement noted that Ramadan offered an opportunity for spiritual reflection, discipline, and acts of charity, calling on Muslims to continue upholding values of unity, compassion, and generosity beyond the fasting period.
It also prayed for Allah’s acceptance of the fasting, prayers, and good deeds observed during the month, while seeking divine blessings for peace and prosperity in the country.
The Agency further reassured intending pilgrims from Sokoto State for the 2026 Hajj of its commitment to enhancing service delivery, particularly in the areas of accommodation, feeding, medical care, and transportation to ensure a hitch-free pilgrimage.
It expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, for his continued support, alongside stakeholders and partners contributing to the success of the Hajj preparations.
According to the statement, arrangements are in top gear, with the pre-arrival stage for the 2026 Hajj exercise scheduled to commence on the 1st of Shawwal, 1447AH.
The Agency prayed for more opportunities to witness future Eid celebrations in good health, peace, and happiness, while wishing Muslims a joyous Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
