Kebbi Begins Health Screening for 2026 Intending Pilgrims – By Junaidu Sani

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has announced the commencement of medical screening for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise, beginning from Monday, January 23, 2026.

The Director of Da’awa of the agency, Imam Aminu Hassan Birnin Kebbi, disclosed this while addressing journalists in his office on behalf of the Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Yaro Enabo.

According to him, the screening exercise will be conducted across designated zones in the state. Zone A, comprising Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo, Gwandu and Bunza Local Government Areas, alongside officials of the agency, will undergo screening from January 26 to 29, 2026, at the Hajj Camp in Birnin Kebbi.

He said Zone B, which includes Argungu and Augie Local Government Areas, is scheduled for January 30 and 31, 2026, at the Argungu Local Government Secretariat, while Zone C, made up of Yauri and Ngaski Local Government Areas, will be screened on February 1 and 2, 2026, at the Yauri Local Government Secretariat.

Imam Aminu further explained that Zone D, comprising Zuru, Fakai, Danko–Wasagu and Sakaba Local Government Areas, will be screened on February 3 and 4, 2026, at the Zuru Local Government Secretariat.

Zone E, which consists of Jega, Aliero and Maiyama Local Government Areas, is scheduled for February 5 and 6, 2026, at the Jega Local Government Secretariat, while Zone F, comprising Suru and Dandi Local Government Areas, will have its screening on February 7 and 8, 2026, at the Dakingari Local Government Secretariat.

He added that the exercise will conclude with Zone G, which includes Koko/Besse, Bagudo and Shanga Local Government Areas, slated for February 9 and 10, 2026, at the Koko/Besse Local Government Secretariat.

The Director urged all intending pilgrims to strictly adhere to the screening timetable and comply with all other guidelines issued by the agency to ensure a smooth Hajj preparation process.
