This achievement represents a major milestone in the Board’s ongoing preparations for the forthcoming pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura, said the Yellow Card, which serves as an essential health requirement for international travel, has now been fully secured by all registered pilgrims.
The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, disclosed that the process of sorting the cards according to pilgrims’ groups has already commenced, as part of efforts to ensure a seamless coordination ahead of departure.
Alhaji Labbo further noted that Jigawa State remains among the leading states in terms of early and effective preparation for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
He added that the Board continues to intensify orientation and training programmes for intending pilgrims across all local government areas to ensure proper guidance and adherence to Hajj rites.
The Director General commended the staff of the Board for their unwavering commitment, teamwork, and dedication, which contributed significantly to the smooth completion of the exercise.
He also expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, for his consistent support and cooperation, which have greatly enhanced the Board’s activities.
