The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA) has officially flagged off its strategic Pilgrims Enlightenment Campaign in Bodinga Local Government Area as part of preparations for the forthcoming Hajj exercise.
According to the Head of Information and Public Relations of the Agency, Faruku Umar, said the campaign is aimed at educating and sensitizing intending pilgrims on the proper conduct, rites, and expectations of the Hajj, in line with global best practices and guidelines set by relevant authorities.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the head of Da’awa and Irshad Unit of the Agency Imam Sheikh Yahuza Shehu Tambuwal emphasized the importance of adequate knowledge and preparedness for all intending pilgrims, noting that the enlightenment sessions would help ensure a smooth and hitch-free Hajj operation.
The Agency reiterated its commitment to taking the campaign across all the 23 Local Government Areas of the state to ensure that every intending pilgrim is well-informed and spiritually prepared for the sacred journey.
The event witnessed the participation of religious scholars, officials, and a large number of intending pilgrims from Bodinga, Yabo, Dange-Shuni and Tureta Local GovernmentAreas.
