A new era of data-driven Hajj reporting is set to begin as Hajj Gazette, a leading pilgrimage-focused media platform, prepares to launch an innovative digital dashboard designed to monitor the 2026 Hajj exercise in real time.
The platform, known as the “Hajj Gazette 2026 Hajj Tracker,” is being developed by Hari Media Consult to provide comprehensive insights into the planning and execution of the pilgrimage. It is expected to enhance transparency, coordination, and accountability across all stages of Hajj operations.
Speaking to journalists in Gombe on Wednesday, the Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive Officer of Hajj Gazette, Auwal Ahmad Umar, described the dashboard as a major breakthrough in the use of technology to support effective Hajj management.
He explained that the platform will serve as a central intelligence system, capturing and analysing critical data ranging from registration and documentation to airlift arrangements, accommodation, and in-country logistics.
According to him, the initiative is aimed at closing the information gap in Hajj reporting by providing verified and structured data that can guide decision-making among stakeholders.
“The Hajj Gazette 2026 Hajj Tracker is not just a monitoring tool; it is a transparency and accountability framework. It empowers stakeholders with timely insights and supports evidence-based decisions throughout the Hajj cycle,” he said.
The dashboard is expected to offer real-time tracking of key milestones, including state-by-state performance analysis, monitoring of deadlines, and compliance indicators. It will also feature data visualisation tools to simplify complex trends and provide centralized updates on policies, logistics, and pilgrim movement.
Industry observers note that the launch comes at a time when Hajj operations are becoming increasingly digitised worldwide.
Platforms such as Nusuk are already playing a vital role in managing pilgrim data and streamlining processes.
In Nigeria, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria continues to oversee the country’s participation in the pilgrimage, coordinating registration, logistics, and compliance with international requirements.
The Hajj Gazette team believes the new tracker will complement these efforts by offering independent, data-backed insights that improve transparency and efficiency.
With growing complexities in global Hajj coordination, including strict timelines and logistical demands, digital tools like the Hajj Tracker are increasingly seen as essential for reducing delays and improving overall performance.
