The Jigawa State Executive Council has formally approved a landmark loan of 3.5 billion Naira to the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board. This strategic financial intervention is aimed at securing and guaranteeing the Hajj seats for the upcoming 2027 pilgrimage season for the people of the state.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura, this proactive measure underscores the unwavering commitment of the Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, to religious affairs and his dedication to easing the process of performing the Hajj for the state’s citizenry.
The special loan is specifically designed to assist intending pilgrims in meeting the financial requirements for their initial Hajj seat deposits.

He noted that this reliability makes it much easier to secure further support when needed, without the need for interest-bearing bank loans or other alternative means.
The Board reiterates the call for all intending pilgrims to take note of the upcoming deadline, as Saudi Arabia has set September as the final period for completing Hajj seat deposits.
