The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has taken delivery of hand luggage designated for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise, marking another key step in its ongoing preparations.
In a statement signed by the Head of Information and Communications of the Board, Faruku Umar, said the Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, who personally inspected the items, expressed satisfaction with their quality and the level of progress recorded so far.
He reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to ensuring a seamless and successful pilgrimage for all pilgrims from the state.
According to him, the Agency is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to provide adequate arrangements for the welfare and convenience of intending pilgrims.
He further revealed that while awaiting the arrival of pilgrims’ uniforms from the contractor, the Agency will intensify its sensitization and enlightenment programmes across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.
Alhaji Aliyu Musa urged all intending pilgrims to actively participate in the scheduled enlightenment sessions in their respective localities, stressing that such engagements are crucial for proper orientation and preparedness for the spiritual journey.
