Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais has appointed Prof. Dr. Fareed bin Ali Al-Ghamdi as Deputy President for Religious Affairs at Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah.
Under the new assignment, Dr. Al-Ghamdi will also oversee business development at the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
Dr. Al-Ghamdi is an experienced academic and university administrator. He previously served in several senior positions at Umm Al-Qura University, including Vice President, Vice President for Development and Community Service, and Dean of Faculty and Staff Affairs. He was also entrusted with leading the university at an earlier period.
His professional experience spans institutional development, performance improvement, quality management and community service.
Congratulating him on his appointment, Sheikh Al-Sudais expressed confidence that Dr. Al-Ghamdi’s academic and administrative experience would contribute to improving the Presidency’s performance and enhancing religious services for worshippers and visitors to the Grand Mosque.
